Copper is one of die most important metals in modem electronic technology due to its potential applications in micro/nanoelectronics. The copper nanowire arrays have been synthesized using electrodeposition within the confined nanochannels of different templates, like anodic alumina membrane (AAM) and polycarbonate membrane (PC) each of pore diameter 100 nm. For morphological study of nanowires, the Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) was used. The deposition time v/s the current measurements were done to study die growth and the effect of deposition time on the morphology of the copper nanostructures within both the templates. The optimum conditions for the synthesis of copper nanostructures with different morphology were also discussed.
