In recent years, teachers of undergraduate mathematics courses have been urged to improve their courses, with little guidance on how to proceed. Some concrete suggestions are given here which are designed to assist both instructors and students in improving the mathematics learning process. The primary one is the use Sand's Law of Mathematics: #x201C;If you want something to be true, then write it down; and compensate, if necessary.#x201D; While all have been classroom tested, none are guaranteed.
