摘要

We calculate the power spectrum of a periodically gainhyphen;switched semiconductor laser having intrinsic timing jitter and pulsehyphen;energy fluctuations that are uncorrelated from pulse to pulse. The results, in accord with measurements and numerical simulations, show that rms values of uncorrelated jitter can be determined with subpicosecond sensitivity from measured photocurrent spectra.
