Tianjin Saixiang Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 1989, the company structured as Tianjin Saixiang Technology Co., Ltd. (TST) in 2000. In 1984, the first Chairman—Zhang Zhiquan, who was a technician of Tire Equipment Department in Tianjin Rubber Litai Company, went to DUNLOP in order to import the first radial tire production line to China (this was second-hand equipment). While working abroad, he encountered a lot of difficulties, without any drawing and any technical supervision. At that moment, he made a decision to research and manufacture a radial tire production line belonging in China with Chinese know-how. At that time, China's tire industry had just started radial tire production. This equipment was not available locally to China's tire industry. China had to import related machines from aboard. In order to change this situation, Zhang Zhiquan started the business of manufacturing in China such machinery for the tire industry.
