China's Chemical Industry Leaders discuss Responsible Care

More than 80 representatives of China's rapidly growing chemical industry met today to share environmental, health and safety best practices at the first Responsible Care Working Committee conference of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) sponsored by Dow Corning-a global leader in silicones, silicon-based technology and innovation. The conference was held in Zhangjiagang, where the Company's integrated silicone manufacturing site is located. Shao Junmin, the Zhang'iagang vice mayor was invited to deliver opening remarks and Zhou Zhuye, the vice chairman of CPCIFand Jeremy Burks, Dow Corning Greater China President made keynote speeches. Attendees were composed of members of the CPCIF Responsible Care Working Committee from industry associations, chemical and petroleum associations, chemical parks, domestic chemical companies as well as Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (AICM).
