Two female pomeranian dogs aged about 18 months were referred to tile Veterinary Clinic with the history of heavy tick infestation even after repeated treatment with various acaricides. The dogs were apparently healthy except with slight anaemic signs. Oil routine clinical examination, all the physiological parameters were found to be normal. The ticks were collected and identified as brown dog tick - Rhipicephalus sanguineus. Then it was decided to treat both the cases with ivermectin injection @ 200 #mu#g/kg body wt. subcutaneously.
