Mortality of Nali and its grades with corriedale and Russian Merino sheep

摘要

The present study was planned to find out the mortality rate due to breed, season, sex and environmental factors in Nail and grades having 50 percent exotic inheritance of Russian Merino and Corriedale in different combination with Nail sheep. The data were collected from the Sheep Breeding Farm, CCSHAU, Hisar for a period of six years, i.e. 1990-95. The causes of mortality were recorded from the postmortem reports conducted by Department of Veterinary Pathology of this University. The year was divided into four seasons as per meteorological data.
