Efficacy of Exapar and Payapro as prophylactic for metritis-mastitis - agalactia syndrome in sows

Prophylactic medication with herbal uterine cleanser Exapar for 5 days and the galactagogue Payapro for 15 days commencing at farrowing, was highly effective in MMA syndrome among sows. The postpartum health parameters in treated sows were considerably improved as compared to those of untreated ones. The pre-weaning piglet survival and body weights of litters were significantly higher in the treated sows.
