STUDIES ON AN INFECTIOUS BURSAL DISEASE OUTBREAK IN A COMMERCIAL POULTRY FARM IN MADHYA PRADESH

Infectious burial disease (IBDV) outbreaks with a morbidity between 80-100% and mortality between 35-60% have been recently reported from different parts of India (Ghowdhary, 1993; Singh et al., 1994). The immunosuppression to Ranikhet disease (RD) vaccination caused by IBDV infection has been documented (Farasjer et al., 1972; Rao and Rao, 1992). Present communication reports occurrence and isolation of IBDV from an outbreak in Durg (Madhya Pradesh).
