MEDICO-SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF AN EXCEPTIONALLY LARGE SIZED HAEMATOMA IN A LOCAL NON-DESCRIPT MILCH COW

摘要

Present communication describes the management of an exceptionally large sized hacmatoma of brisket in a local non-de script milch cow by surgical excision in association with chemotherapy. Case Histvry: A local non-descript milch cow aged about six years wai brought to the Veterinary Dispensary, Gorubathan, Darjeeling with the complaint of sudden drop in milk yield and abnormally large swelling of brisket, lameness on forelimbs and loss of appetite. The eow fell down from a rock of Ghel river bed while grazing in the forest of Noam Range and on next morning such a large voluminous swelling was noticed on the briskest.
