French tire giant Groupe Michelin is aiming to seize significant market share in the premium Motorcycle Tire Segment in India, which accounts for about 15% of all motorcycles sold in the country. Michelin launched its two-wheeler tires in India in 201 1. Now the tiremaker plans on focusing on the premium motorcycle and super bike segment, since that market shows great growth potential. Michelin sells its tires through 3,000 outlets in India and will double this number by the end of next year, adding outlets in smaller towns.
