IMPACTS OF UNCERTAINTIES IN BASE-CATION DEPOSITION OF THE ASSESSMENT OF CRITICAL LOADS FOR ACID DEPOSITION

Less attention has been paid to changes in the concentration andthe deposition amounts of base cations. This has brought about greatuncertainty in the determination of critical loads for aciddeposition. The paper utilized a newly developed long-term soilacidification model(LTSAM), to simulate the effects of atmosphericbase cations on the critical load of red earth in Wenzhou, ZhejiangProvince. Results showed that great changes in atmosphericbase-cation Deposition decreased the critical load by 68/100.
