Chinese spot coal prices continued to increase this week.But some trading firms lowered their offers, signalling a potential softening for prices ahead.Spot prices for NAR 5,500 kcal/kg coal were assessed at 599.58 yuan/t fob Qjnhuangdao port, up by 1pc or Yn7.08/t from a week earlier. In dollar terms, the price was $88.24/t, up by 2pc or $1.81/t week on week.
