Seroprevalence of brucellosis in sheep

A total of 310 sera samples of sheep were collected from different sources and tested by Rose Bengal Plate Test (RBPT) and Standard Tube Agglutination Test (STAT) for brucellosis. 13 samples (4.19%) were found to be positive and 27 samples (8.7%) as doubtful in STAT. Highest incidence (6.48%) was reported in animals from organised farms. None of the 95 sera samples collected from human beings were found positive.
