Changes in the product mix in many major fabs highlight the fact that for the first time ever, consumer product volumes are outpacing business products. This change is driven by two factors - the consumer electronics market is growing at a compound annual growth rate of 14 per year, and the semiconductor content in those consumer devices is rising at an annual growth rate nearing 20.
