Hankook Tire announces Q2 earnings results

Hankook Tire Co. Inc. recently announced an 11.2% fall in global sales revenue to KRW 1.66 trillion ($1.6 billion), while operating profit fell 7.4% to KRW 251.2 billion ($243 million) for the April to June 2014 period. The operating result improved slightly at 15.1 %. For the half year, sales shrank by 6% to KRW 3.34 trillion ($3.24 billion) and operating income fell 4.3% to KRW 512.2 billion ($496 million). The operating result rose slightly to 15.3%.
