Malaysia & Thailand to set up joint Rubber City

The major natural rubber producing nations of Thailand and Malaysia have discussed the establishment of a rubber city in Thailand's Songkhla province as a rubber-processing industrial estate aimed at developing the rubber industries of both countries and at raising NR prices. The rubber city is to be set up at the Thai border, adjacent to the Prakop border checkpoint in Na Thawi district, which both countries have deemed as the most suitable site.
