Under the ever-changing and gloomy global economic environment, plastics and rubber industry have been unavoidably affected. Nevertheless, tying in with the market opportunities and government policies, the industry players can still enjoy steady growth. According to the Chinese customs' statistics, the cumulated amount of plastic products for export from Jan to July in 2013 has increased by 13.7% comparing with the same period of last year, and this increment has decreased by 4.4% on a month-to-month basis. For rubber, the national production value was RMB 836.58 billion in 2012, which has increased by 15.5% comparing with the same period of last year. The increment has dropped by 11.7% when comparing to the increment of 201 1. Despite of the slowdown on the growth of the plastics and rubber industry, the industry still foresees enormous market opportunities due to their broad application on automotive, building and construction, electrical and electronics and packaging industries together with the implementation of industrialization, informatization, urbanization and agricultural modernization driven by the Chinese government. It is anticipated that the automobile's sales growth rate in China in 2013 will be 7% whereas building and construction industries will enjoy a growth rate of 15%.
