Surgical management of an unusual large mammary adenoma in a pregnant great dane bitch

Neoplasia of mammary gland is common in bitches of more than 6 years of age (Johnston, 1993), however, mammary gland tumour in younger animals is infrequently reported. Pure bred dogs may have increased risk of mammary neoplasia as compared with mixed bred dogs (Dron et RAID., 1968). Here, a large sized mammary tumour in a pregnant bitch and its surgical management is reported.
