摘要

Ketosis occurs due to negative energy balance causing marked imbalance between glucose supply and requirement (Baird, 1982). Shortage of energy leads to mobilization of fat reserves and concurrent shortage of energy substrate leading to ketonemia (Sahoo et al., 2000), A positive correlation between fatty infiltration of liver and ketone body concentration with a negative correlation with glucose concentration has been reported.
