The overall least squares means for machine milk yield, stripping yield, milk flow rate, fat %, SNF %, and total leucocyte count were 3.135 +- 0.058 kg, 0.165.+- 0.006 kg, 0.909 +- 0.009 kg/ min, 6.303 +- 0.057, 8.93 +- 0.049 and 26.104+- 1.161 X 10~4respectively. Highly significant (P<0.01) effects of treatment, parity, stage of lactation, milking shift and treatments were observed on machine milk yield, stripping yield and milk flow rate. The vacuum level had highly significant (P<0.01) effect onfat % and total leucocyte count but not on SNP%. The vacuum level of 420 mm Hg was found to be optimum for machine milking of buffaloes with respect to more machine milk yield less stripping yield and better hygienic quality of milk.
