COMPARATIVE EFFICACY OF THERAPEUTIC REGIMENS ON INDUCTION OF OESTRUS AND SUBSEQUENT CONCEPTION IN DELAYED PUBERTAL HEIFERS

摘要

One of the reproductive problems of dairying in Andaman Islands is anoestrus (delayed puberty) of cross-bred heifers leading to higher cost of replacement stock. Successful treatment of such anoestrus heifers require careful selection of appropriate therapeutic regimen. Hence the present investigation was undertaken to ascertain the efficacy of various therapeutic regimens as practiced under field conditions, on oestrus induction and subsequent conception in anoestrus heifers.
