Body weight and body measurements were taken in 60 growing male kids (bucks) since their birth to 1 year of age at monthly interval. For recording growth parameters, body weight, length, height and chest girth were included in the study. Kids were weaned at 3 months of age. The results revealed that the kids were having progressive increase in the body weight and body measurements since their birth to one year of age. The monthly increase in body weight was 2.32 kg up to 2 months of age and. then asubsequent increase was half of the above increase upto their sexual maturity i.e. around 9 to 10 months of age. The maximum increase in the body weight and measurements were observed between birth to one month of age. These results revealed a positive correlation among body weight and body measurements.
