Effect of dietary protein and cereal intake on certain andrological traits in crossbred youngster bulls

After nine months of experimental feeding with different concentrate mixtures, it was observed that the manifestation of early pubertal sexual signs based on mounting behaviour was maximum (75 percent) in animals fed cottonseed meal and barley. The pelvimetry values of group A animals were recorded lowest which is desirable masculine trait whereas the serum glucose value was higher in this group. It indicates that barley in combination with cottonseed meal appeared to be superior with the feeding ofprotein sources of varying ruminal degradability having no effects on the pubertal sexual activity.
