摘要

The present study deals with the analysis of blood and rumen liquor samples from 793 healthy and 1008 clinical cases of primary indigestion of lactating Murrah buffaloes during the last thirteen years. Blood samples were analysed for glucose, urea, SGOT, SGPT, T3, T4 and biogenic amines i.e. histamine, tryptamine and tyramine. The pH of rumen liquor samples were determined. The levels of all the blood parameters except T2 and T4 were found significantly higher (P<0.01) at different ruminal pH than normal. Therefore, metabolic pattern of the animals got shattered and adversely affect digestibility and milk production in lactating Murrah buffaloes.
