EFFECT OF MALATHION DIPPING ON ASCORBIC ACID AND CHOLESTEROL CONTENT IN ADRENAL GLAND OF POULTRY BIRDS

Organophosphate pesticides have a widespread application in livestock and poultry to protect them from ectoparasites. However, indiscriminate use of these pesticides cause a damaging effect on production and reproduction due to the alteration of biochemical constituents (Pal et al., 1995). The present study reports the toxic impact of malathion dipping in regard to ascorbic acid and cholesterol of adrenal glands of poultry bird.
