OPTIMIZATION OF CONCENTRATION OF BUFFALO ESTRUS SERUM FOR IN-VITRO MATURATION OF BUBALINE OOCYTES

The study was conducted to optimise the concentration of buffalo estrus serum, a cheaply and easily available protein substitute for in-vitro maturation of bubaline oocytes. The investigation concluded that addition of BBS in TCM-199 significantly (PO.05) improves the maturation rate. The buffalo estrus serum in 10% concentration resulted into 64.32% maturation rate which differed significantly from 5.0% concentration but did not differ significantly when concentration was increased to 20.0%.
