Tests on 20 composite cow milk samples were carried out using formaldehyde and hydrogen peroxide and the former could keep the milk samples unchanged for a longer period. An increase in the concentration of the preservatives improved the keeping quality without disturbing the milk constituents. Depending upon the transportation distance of the milk samples formaldehyde or hydrogen peroxide may be used at various concentration levels.
