IMMUNOGLOBULIN CLASS RESPONSE IN BRUCELLOSIS

It was observed that IgM enzyme immuno-assay of serum samples from brucellosis positive herd showed the highest sensitivity 73.81% in comparison to other serological test Some brucellosis negative sera in agglutination test system were positive in IgGand IgM enzyme immuno-assay tests. The host may not follow the imniufioglobuiin class shift from IgM to IgG class of antibodies in natural infection. Thus IgG and IgM enzyme immuno-assay based ELISA reagents might be suitable for the diagnosis of brucellosis than only IgG enzyme immune assays.
