Effect of genetic groups on body weight of pigs maintained on hotel waste

摘要

Genetic group had significant effect on weight at different ages in majority of cases. The body weight of "T & D" pigs (67.26+-1.05 kg) was significantly higher than Large White Yorkshire pigs (52.00+-1.29 kg) maintained on hotel waste diet during 10th month of age. But almost similar body weight was recorded in 3 genetic groups viz. LWY, T & D and LR X T X D during birth to 10th months of age but significantly lowest weight was found in Tamworth pigs maintained oil hotel + rice fermented waste.
