Morphology and biometry of the orbit of Indian ass

摘要

Anatomical knowledge of the orbit is important for diagnosis and management of many, congenital and acquired malformations of the eye and orbit. Studies are available on the morphology and biometry of the orbit of several farm animals (Diesem, 1968,Malik et al., 1992,1993, Sharma and Gupta, 1990a & b and Archana, 1997). There are no reports on the anatomy and biometry of the orbit of Indian ass. The present paper records the comparative morphometrical features of the orbit of Indian ass.
