Ascaria worm infestation is quite widely prevalent in both, birds and mammals, inclusive of cattle and buffaloes. Being caused by trans-utero transmission, the ascarians is also a well recognised condition in neonatal calves due to Toxocara (Ncoascaris) vitulorum infestation of intestine (Shrivastava and Sharma, 1978; Roberts, 1990). The present communique deals with a solitary case of ascariasis in young buffalo calf heavily infested with adult worms at Institute's Dairy Farm.
