OCCURRENCE OF NOSEMATOSIS IN GERMAN ANGORA RABBITS

The prevalence of nosematosis in three German angora rabbits out of 129 morbid materials examined, was recorded. Histopathologically, lesions comprised focal non-suppurative granulo-matous encephalitis, multifocal non-suppurative hepatitil and chronic interstitial ncphritis with scarring in kidneys. Nosema cunieuli was also demonstrated microscopically in the brain substance at well as in the kidney.
