Leaf sheath P/Si ratio was determined" in 30 sugarcane genetic stocks at ground growth of 4 to 7 months intervals. Leaf sheath P/Si ratio between clones between stages and their interactions were observed significantly at 0.1% level. Leaf sheath P/Siratio ranged from 0.046 in CoC 671 to 0.084 in H 50-7209 with the mean of0.070. Clones COC 671, Co 62101, Co 7704, CoA 7601, Co 62399, CP 44101, Co 7201, Co 6304 and Co 853 recorded low P/Si ratio in leaf sheath, while high leaf sheath P/Si ratio was observed in H 50-7209, B37172, Co 62174, Co419, Co 7712, Co 740, Co 775andNCo310. Leaf sheath P/Si ratio decreased torn 0.153 at 4 months to 0.059 at 5 months; and then increased from.0.032 at 6 months to 0.037 at 7 Months.
