Cane heights in cm were measured in 30 sugarcane clones for 4-13 months at monthly intervals. The differences of cane heights between clones, between stages and interaction between clones and stages were significant statistically at 0.1% level. Clonal mean of 10 stages revealed the clonal variation of cane height from 68 cm in Co 7712 to 149 cm in Co 7201. The wide difference was from 7 cm in Co 6806 at 4 months to 247 cm in Co 7201 at 12 and 13 months. Stage mean of 30 clones increased from 21 cm at 4 months to 185 cm at 13 months. Clones recording high cane heights were Co 7508, Co 7201, Co 7204, CoA 7601, Co 678, B 37172, Co 7717, H 50-7209, Co 6304 and Co C 671 whereas clones showing less cane heights were Co 7712, CoJ 64, POJ 2878, Co 62399, CP 44-101, Co 997, Co 775, Co 1148 and Co 7304. Cane height had significant positive correlations with sheath K, sheath moisture, sheath sum of cations, leaf blade Ca, leaf sum of cations, and leaf blade moisture. Cane height also associated positively with cane internodes, cane girth, cane volume, cane density, cane weight, internode length, dry matter, cane and sugar yields at 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 12 months. It was associated significantly and negatively with stem S, Cl and moisture. However, it had no associations with sheath N, P, Ca, Mg, S, Cl, Na, Si, sum of anions, leaf blade N, P, K, Mg, S, Cl, Na, Si, sum of anions, sucrose percentage and commercial cane sugar percentage at 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 12 months..
