MICROBIOLOGICAL QUALITY OF POTABLE WATER OF SOME ROADSIDE TUNKIES OF LASHKAR CITY

摘要

An investigation was undertaken to know the microbiological quality of potable water filled in six roadside tunkies of Lashkar city. Out of 288 samples examined microbiologically, 96 samples were of excellent grade, 144 satisfactory and 48 were of suspicious grade. None of the samples harbored human pathogenic organisms like Salmonella typhi, Salmonella paratyphi A & B, Cryptococcus neoformans, Candida albicans and Trichosporon cuteneum.
