摘要

On bacteriological culture examination of milk samples from cases of subclinical IMI, 7 and 223 monomicrobic isolates were recovered from buffaloes and cows, respectively. 38 isolates were recovered from mixed infections involving 2 or more pathogens.Major mastoids contributed 85.23% to the total monomicrobic isolates in case of cows. Contagious pathogens had 38.56% share while environmental pathogens accounted for 15.24% of total isolates. The minor pathogens accounted only for 24 isolates. Compatibility between the results of bacteriological culture examination and SCC was noted at 75.48% whereas in case of NAGase it was found much higher at 90.66 per cent, thus indicating the milk enzyme to be a superior mastitis marker.
