Effect of feeding lucerne green forage and agro-industrial by-product on growth rate of pigs

Feeding of conventional concentrate ration (T_1), green forage (T_2) and experimental diets with broken rice, arhar chuni and soyabean grain besides maize, wheat bran, GNC (T_3) to different groups of piglets revealed that average daily body weight gain was found to be non-significant between the groups except at 8th (P < 0.05) and 11th (PO.01) week. However, the overall daily body weight gain after completion of feeding trial revealed significantly higher weight gain in T_2 (355.23+-29.02 gm) and T_3 (332.27+-24.78 gm) than that of T_1 (266.58+-24.29 gm).
