Bacteriological study and antibiogram profile of infantile diarrhoea in kids

The isolates of 37 faecal samples from Kid's diarrhoea were characterized as E. coli (9), Streptococcus spp. (01), Staph. aureus (01), Proteus spp (01). All the isolates of E. coli were found to be sensitive with ciprofloxacin (10 #mu#g). Staph. aureus and Proteus spp. were found to be sensitive with norfloxacin (10 #mu#g) and Streptococcus spp showed mild sensitivity with chloramphenicol (30 #mu#g).
