EFFICACY OF DIAROAK AGAINST PARASITIC DIARRHOEA IN SHEEP

Enteric diseases most commonly manifest as diarrhoea which can result in significant morbidity and mortality, particularly in the young. In sheep, parasitic gastroenteritis is responsible for extensive economic losses (Jensen and Swift, 19-52). The use of anthelmintic or anticoccidial alone is frequently of no avail, and the immediate concern is to check the persistent diarrhoeal sympto ns. The efficacy of herbal antidiarrhoeal product Diaroak in symptomatic treatment of clinical diarrhoea of mainlyparasitic origin in young sheep is reported here.
