PREVALENCE AND CHEMOTHERAPY OF PARSCARIS EQUORUM IN HORSES

Prevalence of Parascaris equorum infection in horse (Filly and Colt) its chemotherapy with Oxfendazole, Mebendazole and Tetramisole was studied. The highest incidence of parascariasis was recorded in foals under one year of age than adult. The results of therapeutic trials by using Oxfendazole, Mcbendazole and Tetramisole respectively caused 95.6,100 and 100 per cent reduction in the number of ova after two dose levels. Adverse side effects were not observed.
