IN-VITRO EVALUATION OF 'CHARMIL' GEL FIDELITY AGAINST SOME PYOGENIG BACTERIA AND FUNGI INFECTING INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM OF ANIMALS

The different parts of herbs, shrubs and trees have been used for the prevention and cure oi several diseases by ancients through ages especially by Indians, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans and Chinese etc. The various herbal preparations and other naturalproducts are in vogue for treating ailments of both humans and livestock through "Ayurvedic Medicines". The 'Charmil' gel-a new drug in this category has been introduced recently, therefore, it becomes imperative to report its effectiveness against commonly affecting pathogenic bacteria and fungi. Hence, a study was planned to assess the in-vitro efficacy of 'Charmil' gel against some pyogenic bucteria and fungi commonly encountered from infected wounds and other skin infections of animals.
