The Australian government projects thermal coal prices,which have been flat for the last 12 months, to move higherin the second half of 2016, as production cuts and otherpolicies help rebalance the global market.Nominal prices are forecast to average $62/t in 2016compared with the previous forecast of $59/t, Australia’sOffice of the Chief Economist (OCE) said in its June quarterresources and energy quarterly report.
