Reaction of C60with Diphenyl Under Acid Catalyst

In this communication, an attempt to synthesize C60-contained Pearl Necklace-Polymer was made. The reaction of C60with diphenyl with acid catalyst (AlCla) was studied by IR, NMR, MS, UV-Vis, DSC-TG, VPO and TEM. Experimental results show that polysubstituted fulleroid was formed. Its structure and properties remains unknown.
