Measurements of surface fluctuations of a glass slide with a laser pulse

Laserhyphen;induced damage of a thin metal film coated on one side of a microscope slide can be used to determine the surface properties of the slide. In addition, the surface characteristics of an optically flat quartz disk have been analyzed.
