As competition intensifies amongst the UK's 14 utility suppliers, a plethora of sales and marketing techniques are being applied to poach new customers. However, new research from Datamonitor reveals that this activity may be fruitless. Often, as a utility acquires a new customer, it is just as likely to have lost an existing one.
