Alimp is defined as an asymmetric gait, and it is a deviation from the normal gait pattern expected for a child's age. A limp can be secondary to painF weakness or deformity, with the hip being the anatomical site of origin in the majority of cases. This article reviews the common and important hip problems that can present with the onset of a limp in a child.
