Adult medulloblastoma: Feasibility and effectiveness of utilising high-dose chemotherapy with autologous stem cell rescue in newly diagnosed patients

We read with great interest the recent article by Wong et al., reporting their local experience of treatment of adult medulloblastoma including adjuvant chemotherapy based on paediatric protocols.We fully agree with their conclusions in terms of the potential to achieve long-term disease-free survival with this approach and would like to report our own experience in treating adult patients with medulloblastoma and atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumours with adjuvant chemotherapy based on the previously published St Jude paediatric protocol.
