Digital Switching Systems in Defence

摘要

Plan AREN seeks to provide the Army with mobile, automatic, fast, secure and reliable communications. Techniques used in the design and development of Automatic Electronic Switch (AES), Local Switchboard (LS), Time Division Digital Exchange (TIDEX)#x2014;three digital switching systems developed for Plan AREN#x2014;are described in detail. AES, LS, TIDEX represent state-of-the-art equipments developed at Electronics and Radar Development Establishment, Bangalore.
