Future strategies for Reducing Emissions

In November 1995 the Italian engineering society ATA (Associatzione Technica dell Automobile) held its second international seminar on high performance spark ignition engines for passenger cars. Dr Cedric Ashley attended the conference for AE and reported on a key paper revealing possible technologies for meeting future low emission passenger car standards. This is particularly interesting in view of both the imminence of new European regulations for the year 2000 and this Institution's Seminar to be held in 24-26th June this year concerned with the application of Power train and Fuel Technologies to meet Emission Standards for the 21st Century.
